Salary Structure for NDLEA

As previously mentioned, the NDLEA salary structure is solely dependent on your rank, and you are compensated according to the Consolidated Para-Military Salary Structure (CONPASS).

To begin with, NDLEA graduates who are put on Grade Level 8 Step 1 receive approximately N888,956 per year (before deductions). This works out to around N74,000 per month.

Grade Level 8 Step 2 earns about N900,071 per year (before deductions). This works out to around N75,000 per month.

HND holders are put on Grade Level 7 Step 1 and receive around N483,353 per month, according to the NDLEA (before deductions).

There are also certain allowances available to NDLEA employees, but these are compensated depending on rank and place held within the organization.

As a result, the gross salary is determined as follows:

Level 8 step 1 = CONPASS + Rent Allowance

₦888,956 + ₦115,849

= ₦1,004,805 (total annual salary). i.e ₦83,733 (monthly)

Then that of HND holders placed on Grade Level 7 Step 1 is ₦573,287.

Level 7 step 1 = CONPASS + Rent Allowance

₦483,014 + ₦92,273.9

= ₦ 573,287 (total annual salary). i,e ₦44,773 (monthly)

It’s also worth noting that NDLEA employees are entitled to certain benefits, but these benefits are determined by the employee’s rank and status within the department.
